Hi, I’m Jessica! I’m thrilled to have you visit me here.
I often struggle on which term to use to describe myself. Pencil Artist. Pastel Artist. Wannabe something else Artist. Quilter. Designer. Art supply collector. Minor league fabric hoarder. I just love to create!
I started my first quilt in high school, (many) years ago. Growing up my mother made a lot of our clothes and we took scrap remnants of those fabrics to create a simple square block quilt. Although my tastes for complexity have changed a bit since then, that first quilt was where it all started!
As a very firm believer that anyone can learn to do anything, with the right amount of determination, I’m excited to share what I’ve learned through all of my experiences. I feel like my processes, styles, and techniques are ever evolving as I grow as a quilter and artist. The possibilities are endless, and I am incredibly excited as to explore as many as I can fit in!
I am also a non-fabric artist mainly focusing on realistic wildlife and landscapes. I’ve never met an art supply that I didn’t want to learn to use. Graphite, pastels, colored pencils, acrylics, watercolors, ink, markers, I could go on and on…. I love them all! Click here to see some of my work from that artistic arena.
When not behind a desk or sewing machine fiddling away with something artsy, you can find me at the swimming pool or the local trail on my bike, running or walking as I attempt to accomplish some crazy goal I’ve set for myself.
I hope you enjoy your time visiting my site, and get inspired to join me in creating something of your own!
Jessica 🙂
